The Best Double Travel Stroller for Two Kids

I have been meaning to write this post for a while! Ever since I had my second child, I relaunched myself deep into stroller research again. I had a second chance to try a new stroller! I must find the best double travel stroller for two kids! Or so I thought.

I already owned the Uppababy Vista, which, to be honest, was not that great for our lifestyle. We definitely did not want a double side by side stroller in case it didn’t fit through doors.

After scouring the internet and consuming many, many baby gear blogs, I am pleased to announce my choice of the best double travel stroller – it’s actually 2 separate strollers!

Best Double Travel Stroller = The Ergobaby Metro + The GB Pockit

Yes, you read that right! It is not one, but two travel strollers that nest together. If you have read other posts on this blog, you might have seen this post about the best travel strollers of 2025. The “winner” is the Ergobaby Metro, with the GB Pockit getting an honorable mention.

The GB Pockit Air, the lightest of the GB Pockit series

I’ll walk you through the reasons why this is a superior combo.

Two single strollers allows for more flexibility and easy maneuvering

One kid to one parent allows us to move much faster through crowds and transit than if we had a wide double stroller or even a bulky tandem stroller. One child is also much easier to lift up and down stairs than two!

The GB Pockit fits in the Ergobaby Metro’s basket

This is the BEST feature of this combo. My 5 year old doesn’t need to nap, and is able to move at our pace, but if we are out all day, he sometimes gets tired. It’s also still much faster to move around with both kids on wheels.

Even though the GB Pockit air is light and can fit into a backpack, you don’t really want to have to carry a heavy backpack all day, so to be able to fit it under the Ergobaby is clutch.

The Ergobaby Metro is narrow enough to roll down airplane aisles

Kids will sleep when they need to sleep, so I needed to wheel them off the plane. The Ergobaby Metro allowed me to wheel my sleeping baby off the plane. The flight attendant tried to stop me, but I did not get stuck 🙂

The Ergobaby Metro is robust enough to fit both of my kids

I do not recommend going over the weight limit of the stroller, but my kids together were only a little over the weight limit and in a pinch, they both fit into the stroller just fine.

So what do you think? Would you try this hack? Let me know if you have any questions!
