GB Pockit Air stroller – honest review after 1 year

If you didn’t know already, GB Pockit are a brand of ultra-compact strollers. They fold up into themselves one more time compared to regular compact strollers, so they fit into a regular sized backpack.

I bought a GB Pockit stroller on holiday, and a year later, I have brought it on several more trips, and used it as our second stroller or backup stroller in the car.

Read this post about the best compact strollers for comparisons of compact stroller dimensions.

Pros

  • A TRUE ultra compact fold – fits into basket of a compact stroller!
  • Very robust! Survived surpassed weight limits and rough terrain
  • Individual hook handles for hanging bags
  • Decent sized basket for its size
  • Comfortable enough for naps
In this side-by-side, you can see that the GB Pockit is way more compact than the Mountain Buggy Nano, which already folds into thirds

Cons

  • Multi-step fold means it takes a few more seconds to fully close this
  • Difficult to fold – you need practice
  • Small canopy – but easy to throw a jacket over it if needed. The GB Pockit All-Terrain has a larger canopy
  • Simple construction – not really a con, but one of the seat hooks pops out sometimes, but its simplicity is understandable

Specs

Weight: 10.1 lbs (compare to babyzen yoyo at 14 lbs)

Folded size: 11.8 x 7 x 13.8 (standard overhead size is 22″ x 14″ x 9″)

Would I buy the GB Pockit Air again?

Would I buy it again? YES!

The GB Pockit Air stroller, or any of the GB Pockit range are great for limited spaces, for keeping in the car, or as a second stroller.

Personally, I used mine as the second stroller for my older kid who would occasionally nap, or needed some down time during full day trips on vacation.

We carried this stroller folded up in the basket of the Ergobaby Metro stroller, which was the best solution for us as a family with 2 small kids.
