I’d say that over 50% of strollers that I see when we’re out tend to be Uppababy. It seems to be a higher-end stroller of choice here in the US. This may create some social pressure for new parents to also purchase Uppababy, however, trusted European brands such as Bugaboo, and newer brands such as Nuna are quickly gaining in popularity.

Read the detailed review of the UPPAbaby Vista here.

  • Pros:
    • Reliable and robust, with a high weight capacity and huge basket, and large wheels for a smooth drive.
    • Looks nice and comes in many colors.
    • Stands upright when folded.
    • Allows for multiple configurations (seat can face forwards or backwards) and can transport up to three children.
    • The UPPAbaby piggy-back buggy board attachment that allows the stroller to fold with it attached!
    • Bassinet can be used on its own, or with a stand.
    • One-handed, multi-position recline and adjustable handlebar cater to the comfort of both child and parent.
    • High resale value.
  • Cons:
    • Expensive.
    • Bulky and heavy (2 inches wider than the Bugaboo Fox), making it challenging to navigate narrow spaces, or lift into the trunk.
    • The rumble seat that connects to the bottom of the frame for the 2nd child is smaller and less comfortable than the regular seat.
    • The car seat only connects to the top of the frame, which means the bigger child will be in the rumble seat at the bottom, making it hard to maneuver.

Another high-end choice, the Bugaboo Fox 5. Bugaboo has its roots in the Netherlands, created by a graduate of Design Academy Eindhoven, so it has had a longer reputation in Europe as the high-end stroller of choice.

  • Pros:
    • Advanced suspension and large wheels for a smooth, easy ride across different terrains.
    • Eco-friendly fabrics and customizable color options.
    • Stands upright when folded.
    • Extendable footrest to accommodate growing children.
    • High resale value.
    • Looks nice
  • Cons:
    • Expensive.
    • Doesn’t convert into a double stroller.

Nuna Mixx Next Configurations

Another great high-end stroller. Very comparable to the Vista, and maybe even more stylish and practical.

Many of my friends have this, and loved using it. The biggest advantage of this in my opinion is that a bassinet is not required, due to its flat recline. It is comparable in all other aspects to the Vista. This lie-flat recline comes in handy because you can even use it as a changing table when you are out. This can save time finding a toilet with a changing table, or avoid the dirty public changing tables altogether.

  • Price: ~$800 (Nuna is not sold on Amazon – it is only available through retailers such as ANB Baby)
  • Pros:
    • Versatile – the seat can be reclined to a near-flat position and can face both ways, allowing you to use it from birth. No need for a separate bassinet!
    • Smooth maneuverability with its all-wheel suspension and large rear tires
    • Includes the ring adapter for Nuna infant car seats.
    • Integrated features include a no-rethread five-point harness, adjustable calf support, and an extendable UPF 50+ canopy, ensuring comfort and safety.
    • High resale value
  • Cons:
    • Limited selection of colors
    • Bulky and heavy – At ~27 lbs, it’s not easy to lift into the trunk.
    • Expensive relative to the average stroller, but cheaper than the Bugaboo.
    • Cannot convert into a double stroller. You would need the Nuna DEMI NEXT which costs ~$1000, which makes is more expensive than the Uppababy Vista.

Graco is one of the most popular stroller brands that I see families with, after Uppababy. It gives reliable quality at a reasonable price.

Ideal for families seeking flexibility without breaking the bank, the Ready2Grow LX 2 offers practical solutions for transporting two children with ease. Its versatility and functionality make it a strong contender in the budget-friendly category, despite its size and weight considerations.

  • Pros:
    • Price includes both stroller seats!
    • Supports 12 different riding options for two children, from infant to youth.
    • Features a standing platform and bench seat for older children. I love the integrated seat the back with its own 3 point harness for safety.
    • The one-hand fold mechanism makes it convenient for busy parents.
  • Cons:
    • Less robust than more expensive strollers, understandably
    • Bulkier, just as wide as the UPPAbaby Vista.
    • Some parents report it’s heavy to lift when folded, but this issue applies to any tandem double stroller!

Like the Graco, the Britax is also one of the most popular brands of strollers I see around. Britax’s brand puts an emphasis on safety, and their products are made to a high standard. However, their designs may not be the sleekest.

  • Pros:
    • Price includes the car seat! No need for adapters to hold the compatible car seat
    • One hand fold, which is rarely seen on full-sized strollers. It also stands on its own!
    • Built-in parent tray with storage and two cup holders. You have no idea how many times I’ve wished for my other strollers to have a cup holder handy
    • Built in snack and drink holder for kids
  • Cons:
    • It’s kind of ugly tbh.
    • May be less robust and the ride less smooth compared to more premium strollers.
    • Cannot convert into a double stroller.
