Best Baby Shower gift ideas
The best baby shower gift is a gift from their registry! I don’t recommend straying from the registry since the mom probably put a lot of time into curating it.
HOWEVER, if you are late to the registry, or maybe you want to get them something a little extra, this post is for you!
These best baby shower gift ideas are categorized as follows:
- Luxury – If you want to be a little extra
- Useful – If you want to get them something helpful or thoughtful
- Funny – If you want to add a little humor
Luxury baby shower gifts ($100+)
Doona trike

You can use this from 10 months – not exactly for newborns but 10 months go by quick! It’s a good idea to buy this early, because toddlers can start riding “balance” bikes from age 2. So buy this early to get the most use out of it!
It’s like a stroller – just more fun! Both of my kids loved this, and friends who had these also loved theirs. It folds up super small if you want to keep it in the trunk for casual city strolls.
Why is it a good gift?
Parents usually spend a lot of time and money on strollers, and fun (and expensive) things like this trike gets overlooked. They may not have even considered buying this, but it has always been a hit when gifted.
Little Giraffe Blanket

I received this as a baby shower gift myself. At first, I was surprised that someone purchased something that was not on my registry. Why would I want a $100 blanket, when babies don’t even need blankets?! Then, I realized how luxe this blanket was. I ended up buying more of these for friends and family.
I even bought larger versions to use at home as throws. That’s how much I ended up loving these.
They feel super soft, and don’t shed. We use them as stroller blankets and now as car blankets.
Useful Baby Shower Gifts (~$50)
Organic Personalized blanket

Personalized items shows a lot of forethought, and is therefore always appreciated. I have to say, though, that not all personalized items are good.
I have received low quality personalized baby gifts before that were just not useable, which is why I’ve chosen this organic, high quality option that also does not break the bank.
Mustela Newborn Arrival Gift Set

IYKYK – Mustela is the most well-known luxury baby skincare brand in Europe. Many Europeans used this when they were little and the distinctive scent is comforting and long lasting.
It’s packaged in a nice box that makes it easy to gift-wrap. The recipients is guaranteed to use at least one of these items at some point after the baby is born.
Noodle & Boo Starter Set

You don’t even have to gift-wrap this one! This brand isn’t widely available in stores, so it is less well-known, but the ingredients speak for themselves. The only downside is that the packaging is not gender neutral.
Babo Botanicals Baby Care Essentials Gift Set

Babo Botanicals is legit my fave baby products brand. I have used many of their shampoo and soaps, body creams and sunscreens. It’s a terrific clean brand that makes good products founded by a mom.
This particular set has a gentle, light scent. Perfect for moms who may want to try different products for their baby.
Funny Baby Shower Gifts (<$50)
I recommend these as “extra” gifts – for example, if you want to arrive with a physical gift, after you have purchased something to be delivered from the registry already.
iPlay, iLearn Baby First Gym Rattle Set

Makes for some funny photos 🙂
S-SNAIL-OO 2-Pack Baby Teether Toys

Anyone with a child knows that kids love the chew on the remote control. These silicone toys provide a good decoy.
Dancing Talking Cactus Toy

You’ve probably seen the viral videos showing babies interacting with this toy. Endless fun.
Nuby Nananubs Banana Massaging Teether

Again, babies like to chew on anything and everything when they are teething, so you can’t have too many teethers! And this one is cute.
JOYIN Baby Car Keys Teether

This teether also lights up and makes noises. Parents might not love it, but still fun.
Pearhead Babyprints Ornament

This is not a funny one, but I did wish I remembered to buy this sooner, so I could have captured my little one’s feet when they were super tiny. I hang this on the tree every year and the kids love to see how much they’ve grown.
Puracy Stain Remover for Baby Clothes

This is kinda funny, very useful. Stain remover is often overlooked on registries because it’s not a “nice” or “fancy” item to buy. But there will be blow outs and messy eating!
